COMPLAINTS AGAINST A COUNCILOR
Under the Local Authorities (Model Code of Conduct) Order 2007, Charlton Parish Council adopted the Code of Conduct in September 2007.
A complaint about a Councillor who is suspected to be in breach of the Code of Conduct may be made to the Monitoring Officer at Wychavon District Council on a form that you can get from Wychavon District Council.
Advice and assistance in making a complaint also can be obtained from the Monitoring Officer ( Mr. Ian Marshall) at Wychavon District Council.
A new Code of Conduct was adopted by the Parish Council at the September 2007 meeting. One clause requires us to have a Procedure for members of the public to speak. .
From 8th May 2008, complaints about a councillor should be sent to the Monitoring Officer at Wychavon District Council ,  (not SBE Manchester).
At a recent CALC meeting, Fred Noble, Independent member of Wychavon Standards Comittee, spoke about his role.  ( Click here for notes of his talk).
